Benefits of Wool:
Sheep wear it every day to keep themselves comfortable throughout the most extreme weather conditions. So why don't people? Fact is that people have made use of wool products since their beginnings. Only when man-made fibers became available, wool started to slip into the background. However, wool has been "rediscovered" today and many people are reaching a renewed awareness.

Comfort:
Wool is a complex natural fiber which evolved over millions of years to successfully protect sheep (and now people again) from extremes of temperature and weather conditions.
Wool is the only fiber used by man that is able to breathe. It absorbs up to a third in its weight in moisture without becoming clammy or damp. The moisture then evaporates into the atmosphere, assisting our bodies' efforts to keep cool in the summer. It is acting like a natural air conditioner. In the cooler seasons, wool's insulating properties will keep our bodies' warm and comfortable as the fiber's role reverses. Wool articles will trap air which is a poor conductor, thereby creating superb insulation (much like your home insulation does). The air pockets hold in warmth and keep out the cold in chilly conditions, while keeping the body parts cool and the heat out in warm conditions. In addition, Wool is a natural water repellent which keeps you dry in wet conditions.

Resilience:
Wool fibers have a natural elasticity and a natural wave or "crimp", thus making them very resilient. As is the case with our products, after being crushed through daily wear, the wool fibers readily spring back into shape for the next use, even after getting soaking wet through use or washing.
